In this workshop, TAFEL wants to discover how food and dishes can be used theatrically. Inspired by kamishibai, Japanese storytelling theatre, a narrative will be created with a few basic ingredients. Here, flavors, smells and colors of the dish, as well as the scenography, lighting, sound and presentation are merging together into an improvised menu. TAFEL looks for ways to engage all the senses and appeal to the imagination with food as the common denominator.
Tussen Koken en Kunst is a series of workshops, to which artists or collectives invite you to participate in collective sessions in which food and creativity blend together. The prepared food is vegetarian and a sufficient meal will be provided.
